1909, 4¢ orange brown, imperf, vertical coil (346V), tied on illustrated advertising cover by Pittsburgh, Pa. machine cancel, Feb 23, 1911, the earliest documented use of the stamp, Very Fine. A spectacular EDU and one of only three recorded examples of #345V on cover. The cover features a Pittsburgh Steel fence withstanding the charge of an elephant with the caption "The weld that held".
