Jessie and John Fremont, illustrated campaign cover with 3¢ dull red (11) tied by light Richmond, Vt. c.d.s., minor edge flaws at bottom, Very Fine and rare. A similar cover in the Bischel sale was listed as the only recorded example. Jessie Fremont was the first woman to become involved in her husband's presidential campaign.
