Letter reads in part, "We arrived in Macao after an absence of some six weeks on the North coast, last from Churan, and commenced immediately to prepare ship for sea, bound to Manila, and thence to Batvia (Is Java), Sidney, Bay of Islands, some of the Southern Pacific groups, on to Sandwich Islands then to Peru & then to Rio and home to Norfolk…"
