United States 1937 Hindenburg disaster, document from final voyage, U.S. Labor Dept. form "List of Manifest of Airmen Employed on the Aircraft as Members of Crew, for Delivery to the Immigration Officers at the Air Port of Entry for Aliens", first line reads German, Aircraft No. LZ129, arriving at Lakehurst Air port of entry for aliens May 6th, 1937 From the Air port of Frankfurt/Main Germany, leaving May 2nd, 1937. Below is typed data on 12 officers beginning with Captain Max Pruss and 1st Officer Albert Sammt and including three 2nd officers, two 3rd officers, one 4th officer and four Radio Officers. The bottom of the form is an affidavit from Pruss, as Airman in Charge, that the manifest is "a full and true list of all crew"; Pruss’ name has been typed in but the form is not signed, as apparently this is the first of several pages that would have been required to list the entire crew of over 60. Overall size is about 12" x 11". Small tear at bottom along fold, otherwise a Very Fine one-of-a-kind original record of the disaster including the names of three of the 21crewmen who perished.
