1865 (Dec. 15) Honolulu, Hawaii to Copenhagen, Denmark, "Honolulu U.S. Postage Paid" c.d.s. with 30¢ orange (71) and 1¢ blue (63) applied over red crayon "31" and portion of c.d.s., stamps cancelled upon arrival in San Francisco by cogwheel cancellations, matching "San Francisco Jan 4" double-circle datestamp, endorsed "Comet", red circled "10" credit handstamp, partial red "N.York Am. Pkt." transit c.d.s., blue "Aachen Franco" Feb. 14 datestamp and "WFR 1¼" backstamp, partial Danish backstamp; 1¢ with small piece out, fresh and colorful, Very Fine usage; the U.S. postage pays the 31¢ Prussian closed mail rate.

THE ONLY RECORDED 30¢ 1861 USED ON COVER FROM HAWAII TO DENMARK.
