Eimer & Co." cachet handstamp, red "New York Am. Pkt. May 9" transit c.d.s., red crayon "56" credit, red boxed Aachen Franco May 24 transit, boxed Lahr May 25 receiver; cover originally folded through bottom pair of lower block and between the stamps of the upper block, Very Fine usage; 8-times the 30¢ Prussian closed mail rate effective from October 1, 1852 to April 30, 1863, when reduced to 28¢.

STUNNING USAGE BEARING TWO BLOCKS OF THE 30¢ 1861 ISSUE USED ON THE LAST DAY OF THE 30¢ PRUSSIAN CLOSED MAIL RATE TO BADEN.
