Postal Card, 1885, 1¢ brown on buff, "M" in double frame line above "POSTAL" (UX8 var.), used card with indistinct Boston, Mass. duplex cancel, the "M" is clearly seen with the naked eye and was believed, by Jack Beachboard, to be some type of secret or printer's mark. While several major specialists have been looking for another one for years this is still the only one known to exist at this time. Some address ink smears, Very Fine.
