Jeff. Davis' War Horse (Walcott 1117), design in red with additional slogan, bearing 3¢ rose (65) tied by "Kanawha C.H. Va. Oct. 16" c.d.s and used with 3¢ dull red (26) similarly cancelled on cover to Columbus, Ohio, 1861 docketing on reverse, the 3¢ pink is slightly affected from edge placement, stamps slightly oxidized, slight cover wear, Fine and rare use of the old and the new issues, the old not paying any postage.
