1875 (7 Feb.) envelope from Peking to the wife of General Raaslof in Dresden (10.4), via Hong Kong (1.3) and Brindisi (7.4), bearing Hong Kong 2c brown, 4c gray, 6c lilac pair and 30c mauve, cancelled by "S1" barred obliterator in blue, matching "Shanghae/A" c.d.s. in blue on reverse, endorsed "No. 12 7/2/75 Peking" at lower left, unframed "P.D." in red, the letter carried privately to Shanghai and placed in the British Post at the 48 cents double rate by British packet via Brindisi, Extremely Fine and exquisite franking.
