1881 (10 Oct.) 10 pf stationery card from Frankfurt to "Ernst Ruhstrat Esq, Chinese Custom Service, Peking, China", redirected to Shanghai, cancelled by "Frankfurt am Main" c.d.s., showing "Singapore/to Hong Kong/A" c.d.s. (5.11) and bearing China Large Dragon thin paper 3ca brown red applied on arrival in China to pay domestic postage for onward transmission to North China, tied by "Customs/Shanghai" double-ring d.s. (17.11), showing "I.G. of Customs/Peking" double-ring d.s. (28.11) in blue and "Customs/Shanghai" double-ring arrival datestamp (8.12.), the card has central vertical crease and a corner crease, nevertheless Very Fine.

THE ONLY RECORDED GERMANY-LARGE DRAGON COMBINATION FRANKING AND ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ITEMS ILLUSTRATING THE GERMAN PRESENCE IN CHINA.
