1889 (25 Apr.) envelope from Peking to Stuttgart (5.6), showing oval "I.G./Mail Matter" handstamp in blue, matching "I.G. of Customs/Peking" double-ring origin datestamp and "Customs/Shanghai" transit datestamp (30.4) both on reverse, and bearing Pfennig 20pf ultramarine (Michel V42c) pair and single, cancelled by "Kaiserlich Deutsche Postagentur /Shanghai" c.d.s. (4.5), Very Fine and exceptionally rare Mail Matter usage with the German Post Office.
