1897-1919 Kiautschou, the comprehensive balance of the specialized collection comprising approximately 100 covers or cards, researched and presented to exhibition standard with an excellent range of cancellations, frankings and usages, including Mecklenburghaus, Syfang, Tsankou (2), Tsintanfort (5) with a pair of incoming stationery cards from Germany returned to sender, Tsingtau with forerunners including 1899 envelope to Germany bearing Eagle 10pf cancelled by "Tsintau/China/a" c.d.s. and 1902 panorama card bearing Kiautschou 3pf, Tsingtau-Tapatautu, Tsingtau Grosser Hafen, Taitungschen, Taputur, maritime (14) with 1898 envelope to Germany bearing Eagle 10pf cancelled by "Tsinanfort/Marine-Feldpost" c.d.s., Boxer Rebellion (4), later military with official envelopes (3) including one sent internally to Tientsin through German and Chinese P.O., and World War I (3, two are P.O.W.), Fine to Very Fine.
