Pkt." transit c.d.s., blue "Aachen Franco" Feb. 14 datestamp and "WFR 1¼" backstamp, partial Danish backstamp; 1¢ with small piece out, fresh and colorful, a Very Fine usage; the U.S. postage pays the 31¢ Prussian closed mail rate.

1. May 18, 1865 to Saxony, Germany with single 30¢ paying the 28¢ Prussian closed mail rate plus 2¢ ship fee, Ex-Brigham, Jessup, Haas, Paliafito, Martin (sold recently at auction for $45,000).
2. Dec. 15, 1865 to Copenhagen, Denmark with 30¢ and 1¢ paying the 31¢ Prussian closed mail rate, Ex-Tows, Aall, and DuPuy (the cover offered here).
3. Sep. 25, 1867 to Messr. Macondray & Co. in San Francisco with single 30¢ paying triple 10¢ steamship rate, Ex-Honolulu Advertiser.
