1857 (Jan. 24) Tabasco, Mexico to Burdeos (Bordeaux), France via New Orleans, blue folded letter with blue "Romano Hermanos Tabasco" merchants cachet, bearing 5¢ red brown (12) three large margins, barely touched at bottom, tied by "New Orleans La. Feb. 21 1857" c.d.s., red "New-York Br. Pkt. Mar 4" exchange office c.d.s., red British "17 MR 1857" transit, "Calais 17 Mars 57" entry c.d.s. with framed "G B / 1F 60C" debit and "8" (décimes) due handstamps, reverse with Bordeaux Mar. 18 arrival c.d.s.; 5¢ with couple small faults including light toning, Very Fine, the 5¢ British open mail rate via British packet, plus 8 décimes due for postage from England to France.
