1847 (17/29 Jun.) folded letter from St. Petersburg to Corfu (16.7) via Austria, mostly clear strike boxed St. Petersburg postmark on reverse, small Corfu receiver on front, manuscript "12 (+) 12" (kr.) Austrian rate plus red manuscript "d 10 (+) 3 (=) 1/1" British rate, Very Fine. Content is a two page printed circular from The Russian Department of Foreign Commerce concerning the poor quality of olive oil being imported under an 1837 contract.
