Windhoek: 1899 (2 Mar.) registered local envelope from a naval official, bearing 1897 overprint 5pf bluish green and 1898 overprint 10pf carmine (Michel 2, 7) overlapping singles (2), cancelled by "Windhoek" c.d.s., with printed registration label, the addressee gone, so the letter opened and resealed with "Zur Ermittelung des Absenders/Amlicht Geröffnet/durch das/Kaiserl. Postamt/im/Windhoek" embossed label, sent on to Lissa, Posen (26.8), taxed "35" in crayon, double postage less existing franking and registration, various instructional endorsements on reverse, Very Fine and unusual.
