Tsumeb: 1915 (26 Aug.) censored envelope from Missionary Vedder at Garb to Berne, Switzerland via Capetown (17.9), bearing 1913 1d red strip of 5, cancelled by rare "Tsumeb/Südwestafrika" converted German canceller (Putzel No. 4), showing manuscript censor alongside and Capetown blue censor handstamp on reverse in addition to customary South West African censor handstamp and tape, Fine usage.

The German Tsumeb canceller was originally altered by cutting a line through the word "Deutsch". It was subsequently completely removed, resulting in the space above "Südwestafrika" in the c.d.s.
