In the late 1700's a group of surveyors left New Milford, Connecticut, seeking uncharted territory. A young man in the surveying party mapped the hundreds of acres which were named Boardman Township after Elijah Boardman. In 1799 the area was settled by three families in what was then a dense forest. This letter is from Isaac Hayes in regards to some parcels of land owned by Stanley Griswold.
