1847, 5¢ dark brown, 10¢ black (1, 2), two covers from Louisville, Ky. both stamps with excellent impression, 5¢ with margins to shaving frame line at top right, gorgeous color, 10¢ large margins to just in at bottom right, bright shade on fresh paper, each tied by multiple strikes of blue "Paid", matching c.d.s. with integral "5" and "10" respectively, 5¢ dated Aug. 2, 1848, 10c Jul. 11 ca. 1848, non-contemporary pen mark at right of 10¢ stamp, fresh and and Fine, most attractive exhibit pair.
