1847, 5¢ red brown (1), large to ample margins, tied by crisply struck blue "5" handstamp on turned cover to Syracuse, matching "Elmira N.Y. Feb. 12" c.d.s., inside with blue Syracuse Feb. 15 c.d.s. and matching "5" in circle, addressed back to Elmira, 1849 court contents; lettersheet with splitting and stamp with vertical file crease, Fine appearance, very scarce usage.
