1847, 5¢ red brown (1), single dramatically cut in at bottom, tied by two strikes of red "5" on small embossed lady's (Valentine?) envelope to Augusta Co. "near Churchville" in Virginia, blue "Baltimore Md. Feb. 13" c.d.s.; cover with small edge tears, Fine usage, possibly an example of a stamp with cancel trimmed off at bottom and re-used.
