California Postal History, Selection of about 20 California covers, runs from 1850s stampless to 1920s, includes an 1859 cover with pencancelled 1¢ #24 and 3x 3¢ #26, ms. Cottonwood postmark, to Washington, D.C. (address re-penned); a 10¢ #68, pencancelled with an ms Moon's Ranch postmark, to Springfield, Ill.; a $1 #518 block of nine with an additional 40¢ on registered parcel tag; etc. Nothing rare but a nice range of towns and frankings, condition is a little mixed but generally F-VF.
