U.S. 1847, 5¢ dark brown (1a), two singles, right stamp dot in "S" variety, ample margins except right stamp just clear to touched on two sides, tied together by two of three strikes blue "Philada. Pa. 10cts. Mar. 30" c.d.s., on 1848 cover to Montreal, Canada with D.O. Blood & Co. (1¢) black (15L9) on flap, margins to cut in at bottom., uncancelled, as usual, by Bloods office Montreal receiving c.d.s. struck on flap, manuscript "4 ½" written boldly on face, flap lifted to show stamp and postmark; right 5¢ with small scissor cut in top left margin, local with small thin from flap opening, still a Very Fine and rare usage.
