Nova Scotia 1860-63, 10¢ vermilion (12), tied by barred oval grid on 1866 folded letter from Halifax (Nov. 20) to New York "pr. Express Mail pr. Empress" via Windsor N.S. (Nov. 20), postmarked Halifax rimless origin c.d.s. and Windsor transit on reverse, envelope a little crumpled and soiled, interesting example of the ad hoc usage of the non-contract Favor's Express service by the New Brunswick P.O. whereby mail was placed in special bags by the Windsor Post Office.
