Charleston S.C. to Devonport, England; 5¢ red brown (1, 1-A, 1 var), five singles, full to large margins except far right stamp (Dot in "S" var.) just in at top right, and left stamp touched on side, fourth stamp is position 80R1 Double transfer A, each tied by red grids on 1850 white envelope pre-paying the 24c Treaty Rate to Devonport, England, matching "Charleston S.C. Apr. 11" c.d.s., red "19" credit and Liverpool transit postmark, receiving datestamp on back; cover with small skillful restoration at corners, second stamp from left with small crease, a Very Fine and important usage.
