Württemberg 1kr black on straw (Michel 1c, 3b), each with large margins, neatly cancelled by two of three strikes "Redlingen, 5/2, 56" c.d.s. on folded letter to Gammertingen (Hohenzollern), backstamped Sigmaringen (6.2) and Gammertingen (7.2). The 1kr is the rare "old ivory" shade; a choice Extremely Fine example of a double weight letter bearing the 1kr Hohenzollern surtax. Scott 1, 4.
