Württemberg 18kr black on violet gray, type I (Michel 5 I), vertical pair with large to oversized margins, used with 1857 9kr rose (9a), cancelled three of four strikes "Calw, 15/1, 58" c.d.s. on folded letter to Ebenezer, N.Y., U.S.A. red "Aachen/Paid 25 Cts" (18.1) and "N. York 30 Br. Pkt. Paid" (8.2) c.d.s.s., manuscript "39" and "11" ratings, backstamped Stuttgart (15.1) and Wurttemberg railway (16.1) c.d.s.s.; small opening tear at left, 9kr stamp cut close, still a Very Fine and rare mixed issue franking from the "Eben-Ezer" correspondence.
