Marshall Islands 1890 (22 Jan.) Jaluit c.d.s.s., tie 1875 2mk dull rose lilac (brilliant color) and 1880 20pf ultramarine (V37c, 42c) on piece; certificate mentions (unnecessarily we feel) few slightly short perfs on 2mk, fresh and Very Fine. A rare early use of the 2mk in Jaluit.
