Marshall Islands 1897 (15 Jan.) registered envelope from Jaluit to Dessau (5.4), via San Francisco (20.3) and New York (25.3) bearing 1889 10pf red (4) and 20pf bright ultramarine (V47d, 48d) cancelled blue Jaluit c.d.s.s. with manuscript "97" year date, from the German administrator, Georg Irmer, to his wife in Dessau; little light toning, F-VF double-weight letter.
