Marshall Islands 1898 (28 Feb.) envelope from Jaluit to Dresden (23.4), bearing pair of 1889 50pf lilac brown (V50d) cancelled two of three strikes blue Jaluit c.d.s.s., manuscript "via Jaluit"; cover reduced somewhat at left and a bit at right, slight soiling and wrinkling due to heavy contents (five-times 20pf rate), Fine. From E. Lössner of the Jaluit Company at Butaritari, Gilbert & Ellice Islands (hence the "via Jaluit" routing instruction) to his wife.
