Canal Zone 1904, 2¢ rose, "CANAL ZONE" inverted (1a var.), position 96 from the bottom of the sheet with the additional variety of "Panama" 14.75-15mm long, natural straight edge at bottom. Slightly disturbed o.g., hinge remnant. Two small thin spots. Otherwise Very Fine and rare.

AN EXCEEDINGLY RARE COMBINATION OF VARIETIES.
Only one sheet of 100 of the inverted overprint was issued and since the "Panama" variety occurs only in position 3-5 and 96-98, only six examples exist with this combination of varieties.
