Canal Zone 1907, 1¢ green and black, inverted center, overprint reading up (22g), choice centering, fresh and deep color. Tropicalized o.g. Extremely Fine. A choice example of this inverted center rarity.

Of the original sheet of 100 that was issued, most were used on local mail by the Panama Railroad Co. of these the majority were lost (only 13 used examples are known), however, the error was discovered by Elmer F. Olson, a local philatelist who was able to obtain the remaining supply from the mail clerk. This is one of only 22 mint examples that were discovered.
