Extremely Fine.
Scott $2,000 for hinged loose panes

A CHOICE EXAMPLE OF ONE OF THE RAREST UNEXPLODED BOOKLETS OF THE CANAL ZONE.

The booklet panes with the 8.5mm spacing are very scarce because they come only from part of the earliest made Type II overprint booklets comprising only about 20% of the entire production, plus this is in the scarcer horizontal format (only four horizontal for every ten vertical format booklets were produced), in addition, the cover stock was changed from tan to blue part way through the production of these first printing booklets, therefore the first printing booklet on tan stock are major rareties, only a few of which have survived, especially in such choice quality.
