1847, 5¢ red brown (1), two singles, both with large margins to touching, cancelled by red grids on 1850 folded letter from New York N.Y. to New Orleans La., entered the mails with red "Potomac Steamboat Jun 25" route agent postmark, file fold through stamps, some age spotting, Fine and rare.

The Potomac Steamboat postmark is a route agent's handstamp that was applied on mail handed to the route agent on board the steamboat traveling on mail route No. 2401. This route operated on the Potomac River between Washington D.C. and Aquia Creek Va.
