THE EARLIEST DOCUMENTED 1¢ JUSTICE USAGE.
The Lockyear collection contained a 6 August 1873 usage of the 1¢ Justice on a circular that was listed as the previous earliest documented usage (see Alan Campbell's article in Chronicle 187, Aug. 2000). This new discovery from the Turner collection was unknown to the author or other official collectors.
