Dead Letter Office" (Wegner HM6) c.d.s. with manuscript "2922 m Aug 26 1851" in center, 1847 folded letter from New York with red "New-York 5cts 29 Jun" datestamp and matching "paid" handstamp to Castle Corner Ireland, British 1sh rating handstamp, Liverpool and Castle Corner 1847 backstamps, docketing indicates letter contained "£2.0", some light soiling, still Very Fine, a rare dead letter returned from overseas.
