Canada" belt buckle type postmark, manuscript "On H: M: Service", red "Youngstown N.Y. Sep 6" c.d.s. with "25" rating, "Ship Letter Liverpool" and Limerick backstamps, manuscript "1/4" rating, oval "Postage Not Paid".

Letter carried free across the river from Niagara to Yuongstown as the postmaster at Niagara was an agent of the U.S. Post Office, paid 25¢ form the border to New York, then by U.S. sailing packet to Liverpool, 8d Stg incoming ship letter plus 8d Stg to Dublin, total 1/4 Stg collect, redirected to Limerick and Mullingar with no additional postage charged.
