Express, group of 15 different towns with most having express company ovals and printed Well's franks, company ovals comprise Cal. towns of Chinese Camp, Coulterville, Hornitos, Marysville, Murphy's Camp, Napa, Petaluma, Red Bluff, Sacramento, San Adreas, Sierra City, Sonora, Visalia, Volcano, and Virginia City, Nev. Terr., and one with blue "Placerville, Cal." straightline, group also has a Wells printed frank on an entire with "Hall & Allen's/Express/Dutch Flat." oval handstamp (Hall & Allen's Express only operated in 1864); few small faults, Fine to Very Fine, a very scarce group.
