A highly attractive collection, 1847-55, neatly mounted on quadrille pages, includes some 1847-55 essays and proofs including #1Xa-E1b, 40-47P4, stamps start with used #1 (11) including 5 blue (two are blue "paid") and two on cover, #2 (2) one blue, seven over 25 including four red and multiples including a strip of three, 8A (2), 9 (45) including pairs and one on cover, 10 (5), mint #11 (9) plus a pair all with original gum, and numerous used with double and triple transfers, "GENTS", cracked plate, dot in lower right diamond plus numerous numeral and paid cancels, #12, 13 and 17. While there are some small faults there is a plethora of four margin sound examples— should be viewed to be appreciated.
