1951 airship "Bournemouth" flown cover, bearing onboard circular cachet "Carried on board the Airship ‘Bournemouth’ 19 July 1951" addressed to a James Wotherspoon, upper left corner is typed "The Airship Club, First Trial Flight of Airship No. 1, ‘Bournemouth’", ½d & 1d stamps cancelled Bedford, 25 July 1951, pencil notation on reverse notes"Flown on 1st & 2nd flights" but documentation has been lost. One of only a few ever documented as being flown on a British airship!.
