The letter is from P.E. Thomas to Wright, a Presbyterian missionary among the Seneca Indian Tribe. Thomas encloses a letter [not present] for Wright to "…deliver and interpret…to Israel Jameson [a Seneca Chief] as early as it be conveniently done…".
