A FASCINATING 1851 3¢ FIRST DAY USAGE WITH THE CONTENT OF THE LETTER REFERRING TO THE FIRST DAY OF ISSUE.

The enclosed letter datelined "Cincinnati, O. June 30, 1851" ends with "P.S…I send you a 3-cent piece thinking that, perhaps, you have not seen one yet. Can you get Postage Stamps at Rehoboth? Pre-paid letters are charged only 3 cents after July 1, 1851."

This is one of only three recorded first day usages from Cincinnati.
