6d red-brown (SG 99), lovely rich color, large margins all around, tied by "1" on 1864 (29 Apr.) green envelope from Auckland to the 12th Regiment, Victoria Barracks, Sydney, with "Sydney/Ship Letter" c.d.s. (10.5), stamp lifted and inaccurately replaced, small piece of flap at back missing, Very Fine Maori War cover from the Laver correspondence (an officer serving in the 12th Regiment) with this scarce stamp.
