1d vermilion (SG 111), vertical pair, bright fresh color, tied by "A3" barred obliterator on 1871 (2 June) envelope from Thames to Wellington (25.6) via Auckland (22.6), the pair has a blunt corner at lower right, nevertheless a Very Fine Goldfield cover. Campbell Paterson A1m(4).
