Weather Reporting Collection including Postmarks & Reports, collection of over 285 items of U.S. and some Foreign housed in seven volumes including 132 weather report cards, official report wrappers (82) and Bureau envelopes (10) including penalty clause frankings, Lansing Mich. Experimental postmarks (65 covers) and other cities (22) including San Dusky Ohio, Canton N.Y., Salt Lake City Utah, Racine Wis. and New Brunswick N.J., Foreign areas (28) include Canada (14) Mexico City 1902-03, Germany, Great Britain, Australia, Japan and India, some interesting items include three Weather Reports from abroad sent via the U.S. Consuls, "School Kit" sent by penalty mail to Teacher by request, 1893 Souvenir from the Weather Bureau at the Columbian World's Fair, RFD weather forecast slips, Weather Bureau penalty envelopes, etc. An important collection worthy of further study.

The basis of the collection was the award-winning Edith Doane collection that originally contained over 90 covers. The original exhibit pages with research information accompany. The owner has significantly expanded the collection and includes the largest holding of Lansing Michigan experimental postmarks ever assembled (65 covers).
