1869, 15¢ brown & blue, type I (118), tied by NYFM circle of V's cancellation on cover with preprinted address to Furth, Bavaria, red "New York Paid All Br Transit Jul 29" exchange c.d.s., printed route instructions "Steamer Reihn per Closed Mail via London & Ostende" with ship name in magenta, sender's blue circular datestamp on reverse, red Verviers-Cologne transit, Furth (8.10) receiving backstamp, a Very Fine example of the 15¢ type I paying the NGU Closed Mail rate.
