1861, 3¢ rose (65), cancelled by segmented cork duplexed with "Detroit Mich. Mar 30" c.d.s. on 1868 folded patent envelope with all-over pink advertising for "J.M. Seely & Co., Chemists & Perfumers", flap with "Open here with Knife —Don't tear", flap and inside with perforated form tab for increased security, inside flap also with blind embossed "Murphy's Improved Letter-Envelope. Patented June 2, 1863. 438 Canal St. N.Y." imprint; Very Fine, an attractive example of the Murphy patent envelope.
