ANS, 5 x 3½ Washington, D.C., March 13, 1929, to Mrs. Emanuel Ellenbarger, in full: "Please accept my thanks for your kind letter an its pleasant reminiscences of ‘Old, unhappy far off things and battles long ago’. Very Sincerely Yours, O.W. Holmes". Includes envelope of transmittal addressed in Holmes’ hand, the two being professionally matted and framed, along with a photograph, to an overall 17 x 15, Very Fine.
