1917 Masonic 32° Award Certificate, large (16 x 11¾) canvas-backed parchment certificate elevating one Henry Archibald Harris to "Prince of the Royal Secret, 32°"by the Chicago Consistory of the Scottish Rite of Free Masons. Around the margins are the signatures of dozens of prominent Masons who passed through Chicago in the 1920s, '30s and '40s, among them Warren G. Harding (undated), John J. Pershing (Oct 1922), J. Edgar Hoover (July 1936), Earl Warren (Aug 1945) and Harry S. New (Apr 1922). Some splitting of parchment surface along folds (none of which affect the signatures) but the backing is intact. A fascinating and scarce Masonic document.
