Sale 325

Lot 86

Postal Card Accumulation, 1873-1911, approximately 2,000 cards mostly between Scott #UX1/UX25, UY1/UY14 loose and neatly sorted in six Lighthouse stockbooks, including some mint plus a used UX4 (small flaws) and a few other unusual usages such as R.P.O./R.R. territorial and color/star cancels as well as plate varieties. By far the most valuable sections are the Columbian Exposition and cards used to foreign destinations including both international and regular cards with adhesives added; while most are to Western Europe (primarily England and Germany) there are some other more exotic destinations. Mixed condition, especially among the loose cards, but generally a F-VF lot and well worth viewing for possible better items.
